The team briefs the police about their unsub. The killer has a need for human blood and probably started by cutting his own arm in an attempt of auto-vampirism. During this time, the killer developed a taste for blood. The killer probably schizophrenic, has a history of animal abuse and worked his way up to larger creatures. Vampirists do not torture the animals, but merely kill as a means to obtain blood. The team reports the unsub probably lives in a poorly kept older home where he can take the time to drain the victim's blood. The vampirist probably lives with an elderly woman who ended up being the primary caregiver.

The next morning at the mansion, Ray helps Dante while he pukes. He tells Ray he can't stop what he is doing. Ray comforts Dante and tells him they will fix his problems.

The team gets a report of a missing waitress named Erin Hickman. They meet with Erin's boss who says Erin walked out during the middle of service. She says Erin had a drug problem. Emily sees the club workers clean up a stack of Dante's new CD and recognizes him from Tara's poster. Emily tells Garcia Dante's new album is called The Liar. Garcia says that the last victims were fans of Dante. Garcia tells the team where Dante lives.

The team goes to Dante's residence and sees he lives in a mansion with several luxury cars parked in front. Kim asks Derek if his profiles are usually wrong. JJ sees an older car and calls in the plates. After she learns the vehicle belongs to Erin Hickman, she places Dante under arrest.

The news reports that Dante has been arrested. The paparazzi surround the car as Dante is brought to the station. Derek gets out of the car and orders everyone to back off. They cover Dante with a jacket and push through the crowd. David informs the press their inquiry is only preliminary.

Emily reports that Dante was found with domestic violence ten years ago. David suggests Emily take the lead in interrogation. They advise she feigns adulation. Emily enters the room and says they made some mistakes. Emily says the police gave her bad information. She says she is part of the FBI and a big fan which surprises Dante. Emily asks him to sign an autograph. Dante says he knows she is not a fan of his. Emily shows him photos of the victims with the words, The Liar, written on them. Dante says he doesn't remember if he hurt the victims. Emily asks Dante if he is a vampire. Dante explains he only plays a character and asks to see his manager.

JJ reports to Spencer she is at Gina's house. Hotch says Dante's CD sales are through the roof. Hotch gets a call and learns the saliva found on the victim's throats belongs to a woman.
