Bones tells Angela about her date with Booth's boss. Bones says Booth was upset, but she doesn't understand why. Angela says she discovered an imprint of the object inside Anoch's chest by analyzing the paint left behind. She says the imprint was hieroglyphs. Bones figures if they can decipher the hieroglyphs, they can figure out what the object was.

Sweets meets with Cam while she is working with something he thinks looks like carpaccio. Cam says she is dissecting Caswell's brian. He tells her he is having problems with Daisy. Cam says she doesn't want to give out dating advice. Sweets says he alienates every woman he talks to. Cam suggests he trusts Daisy instead of trying to help her. Daisy walks in as Sweets gives Cam a hug. He tries to apologize, but she cuts him off then takes off.

The team examines the cavity and figures a giant ruby was placed in Anoch's chest. They figure the killer must have seen the CAT scan. They bring in Javari and ask her where she was when Caswell was murdered. She says she was in Los Angeles. Bones shows her the hieroglyphs. She says the hieroglyphs is a message from Anoch's mother stating that she didn't think Anoch killed his brother. Bones wonders if she can solve whether or not Anoch killed his brother by looking at his remains.

Later, Andrew visits Booth and tells him it has been a while since he dated someone. He shares his concern that Bones is only dating him since he is Booth's boss. Booth tells him Bones doesn't feel the pressure to lie. Andrew thanks Booth and suggests he try the meatloaf with the egg. Booth realizes Bones talked to Andrew about him.

Hodgins looks at the mummy's wrapping. Daisy wonders if she was harsh on Sweets. Hodgins finds a grease spot he thinks is a fingerprint.

Booth tells Bones he knows she talked about him during her date with Andrew. He says he wants to keep their relationship only between themselves. Hodgins tells them he found Wheaton's prints on the mummy.

In the interrogation room, Wheaton explains he made up with Caswell. He says the mummy slipped and he grabbed it. He admits he saw the scan, but didn't kill her. He informs him that Caswell gave the scan to Turnball. Booth and Bones go to Turnball's car and see a man vacuuming it. They tell him he might be destroying evidence. They sniff and smell frankincense and myrrh. In the interrogation room, Turnball admits he was going to sneak in and steal the ruby, but Caswell caught him. They fought and he killed her.

Sweets apologizes to Daisy for his treatment of her. They make up and make love.

Bones takes Booth to the Egyptian exhibit. She says she discovered that Anoch's brother died after he fell off his horse. Bones tells Booth she is nervous about her presentation. Booth tells her not to worry since she changes history. Bones tells him he changes history by solving crimes. Booth says he couldn't have done it without her help. Booth says he thought she was going to take Andrew. Bones says since the case is theirs, she wanted to take him. Just before they are about to kiss, the team arrives and announces the arrival of the Egyptian ambassador. Bones fixes Booth' tie and heads up to the stage.
