Cam says that she found saltpeter in Kurt's system, which is sometimes given to people in hopes that it will decrease a man's sex drive. Booth says that he was given saltpeter in Catholic school, but it didn't work on him. Cam and Bones figure that Kurt could have bled to death from internal wounds if he was given saltpeter, which is a blood thinner. Bones wonders if Kelly drugged Kurt to prevent him from cheating.

They bring Kelly to the interrogation room. She confesses that she used stump remover, which consists mostly of saltpeter, to drug Kurt. Kelly informs them that Kurt was also sleeping with Bob's wife, Kate. They wonder if Bob found out and killed Kurt.

He says that he is a good provider and that he even works two jobs, the second being a side business that he started with Kurt. He says that he can't work on the business anymore since Kurt was the entrepreneur. Bob shows them his shed full of sex dolls and toys. Booth finds lubricant he suspects was used in the murder.

They bring some of the products to the lab to see what was used to kill Kurt. Hodgins says that the sex lubricant doesn't match what was found on Kurt's body. Arastoo figures that a metal yard sign found in the shed wounded Kurt. Angela is upset that she doesn't need to search through the sex toys.

The team goes to the neighborhood to see which sign was used to help kill Kurt. Hodgins finds that Kelly's sign has traces of blood. Bones notices that Kate is wearing a bike shoe that might have been used to stomp on Kurt. They figure that since Nate, Elliot and Kate gave and alibi that they were together, they probably all killed Kurt. Elliot tries to ride away, but Booth stops him. They are arrested.

Later, Sweets wonders what the motive was. Sweets figures that Nate, Elliot and Kate saw Kurt just before they started to go on their bike ride. They figure that the noisy windmill is what set them off.

The team asks Arastoo how he can balance his religion with being a scientist. He says that he honors Allah with the search of truth.

Days later, Booth takes Bones out to lunch with Parker. Bones asks if he is having fun. Parker says that Booth needs a girlfriend and asks Bone if she can be her. Bones says that it would be inappropriate since they work together. Bones asks Parker why he thinks Booth needs a girlfriend. Parker says that he wants a pool. Parker figures if Booth gets married, they will move to a new house with a pool. Bones gives them a key to her courtyard where they can swim as much as they like.
